October – November 2025 • Happy Fall!! 🍂🍁🎃

It is officially fall. We hope that you are enjoying the change of weather. This time of the year can be eventful and that is why is important to make sure your child is happy and healthy. Make sure you are being extra careful during this flu season; please keep your kids at home if they are sick, feed them lots of fruits and veggies to boost their immune system and please make sure to dress them for the cooler weather. We will also be taking extra precautions to try to avoid the spreading of any virus.

This is our first Newsletter for this group, and we want to take a moment to thank all of you, our Rainbow’s World Community for your incredible support and trust.: It is such a joy to have your precious children under our care.

October is multicultural month at Rainbow’s World. During the next month we will have different activities to acknowledge and celebrate our roots. It is one important goal of ours to teach your children the importance of loving, respecting and celebrating each other’s cultural differences. So, please make sure to read over the monthly activities so that you are aware of the different things we have planned.

We want to hear from you about special celebrations or traditions in your family to introduce them in our daily curriculum. Also, if you have any special books that you read at home, please let us know. You may send us an email or text message if you want to share..

Lesson Plan

Color: Review of all colors (preschoolers); Blanco y Negro (young toddlers)

Shapes: Review of all shapes (preschoolers); Oval & Rectangle (young toddlers)

Numbers: 1–10 (Spanish) (young toddlers); 1–20 (Spanish) (preschoolers)

Concept: Names of food

Opposites: Dark/Light; Large/Small; Up/Down

Good manners: Young toddlers will learn to sit and listen at group time. Preschoolers will continue to practice following instructions during directed activities.

Social Growth: We will talk, read about and practice sharing, respecting and celebrating each other’s cultural differences.

Trash to Treasure

We encourage you to bring us things you can find around the house for our crafts or dramatic area. Many of these may be things that you have and simply throw away. We would love to help you recycle these things: Old Jewelry, dress up clothes, purses, scarves, shawls, old costume, ties, Pringles cans, tissue paper from gifts, small sea shells, eye droppers, shoe boxes, etc.

Peace Through Policies

Guidance Policies – “A preventive approach to guidance is employed whenever possible…we recognize that conflict is a very natural part of any group experience. We provide support to children as they learn healthy, non-hurtful ways of resolving conflict” (PHB 9)

Reminders

Shot Records: Remember to keep us updated with your children immunization records. I need an updated copy the same day or the day after any new shots for my state monitoring records.
We are currently teaching the kids to take care of the toys and their belongings, as we have noticed a lot of toys and books have been broken. We encourage you to do the same at home so that they learn from an early age to take care of what they have.
Please remember to bring your children with weather appropriate clothes. You are more than welcome to leave any extra clothes or jackets at daycare in case your child needs it at pick up time.
